Stop criticizing and punishing your body
your body is a reflection of your inner self,your eating habits ,the geographic conditions you live in and social pressures exerted on you . It never tells lie .It deserves love and respect for being truthful to you. But we treat it as an object which deserves shame if it doesn't fit into some mould . Stop criticizing your body . Don't blame or get angry with it .Thank it instead . Accept it unconditionally and nourish it with good fuel .
Wrinkles , grey hair are trophy , reflection of the experience you have gathered in this world . Don't cover them . Accept them gracefully . signs which deserve much of your attention are Hypothyroid, obesity, pigmentation , thinning of hair , chipped nails , PCOD / PCOS , Diabetes , constipation ,high BP , arthritis , menstrual cramps blotting , puffiness below eyes etc .
But conviniently we connect every problem to weight gain . Your body weight is no way an indicator of your health, fitness or beauty . Your happiness or sadness doesn't depend on a number . But we run after unrealistic results . We always need anything drastic like fad dieting or gym punishment . Infact exercing is a way of loving your body , not punishing it . Excercing more than an hour actually defeats the purpose of excercing .
But your body always stands by us no matter what you put it through - diets , binging , never prioritising your self , compromising on sleep . Its pay back time now . Shift your attention from BMI to well being quotients . Eat right and excercise .Take a good sleep for recovery . Establish good relationships with self and others . Body weight loss should come as the side effects of being healthy and fitter . If you feel lighter in body and mind ,you no longer need the weighing scale to validate the fact that you are on track . Just because its not reflecting on the scale doesn't mean that its not happening . REMEMBER Earth is moving around the sun , we may be conscious of the process .
